Reporting a wrong location
This is the most common message we get, and it is worth saying clearly: we cannot fix it here. The country, region and city come from commercial geolocation databases, and the site only displays what they return.
Corrections have to go to the database maintainers, who do accept them. The fastest route is your internet provider, who can update the registry record for the address block — a fix that then propagates to everyone using it, rather than to one database.
If a location is wrong in a way that suggests we are reading the data incorrectly rather than reporting it faithfully, please do tell us. That we can fix.
API questions
The endpoints are documented on the home page. If something returns an unexpected shape, include the exact request and the response you received.
Translations
The site is published in twelve languages. If a phrase reads awkwardly, or is simply wrong, in your language — tell us which page and what it should say. Corrections from native speakers are the most useful mail we receive.
Response time
A few days, usually. There is no support desk behind this; it is read by a person.
