Terms of use
Last updated: September 2026.
Using the site
ipkiwi is free to use, with no account and no registration. You may use the information it shows for any lawful purpose, personal or commercial.
Accuracy
The data comes from Cloudflare’s network edge and from public IP geolocation sources. Geolocation is an estimate. Country is generally reliable; city and coordinates are approximations and are regularly wrong, particularly on mobile and VPN connections.
Nothing here should be used as the sole basis for a decision that matters — access control, fraud assessment, legal process or compliance. It is provided as-is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose.
The API
/api/me, /api/me.txt and /api/ptr are free to use, including in commercial products, without a key.
We ask that you use them reasonably: cache results rather than polling, and do not build a service whose load would deny others the use of it. We may rate-limit or block traffic that threatens availability, and we may change or withdraw any endpoint. If you depend on it, cache it.
What you may not do
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Use it to facilitate unlawful activity.
- Present it as your own service, or imply that ipkiwi endorses yours.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from its use or unavailability. You use it at your own risk.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top reflects the current version; continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
